And Christian too is running for Paul ...

... Here

With the help of Béatrice, Paul's history teacher, Christian had already organized a fundraiser during the last weeks of Paul's illness. For those who don't know Christian, he owns a truly excellent ice cream parlor near the Lycée, on Bute Street, which Paul loved.

We can't thank enough Paul's friends, schoolmates and teachers, who contributed to Christian's fundraising efforts and all those who keep him alive in their thoughts and prayers.

Here is a photo of Paul's classmates in 4è 6 this year, raising funds under the guidance of Béatrice.

In tribute for Paul, for cancer research, they sold cakes and pancakes of their own making, and Sheona Mateos, also a classmate, gave benefit piano lessons. You can see on Christian's Just Giving page the impressive amount they raised.

Below a nice photo of Clara and Paul one and a half month before diagnosis.

  1. Ah,such a neat picture...beautiful children in a beautiful world. I know we all need to learn how to hang on to those moments of joy and beauty and capture them in our minds, so we can have them to make it through those times when we can see no beauty or joy in this life.Such lovely friends and classmates Paul had, and what a tribute to the impact he had on their lives, that they engaged in such an effort at fundraising in keeping his memory alive, and raising research money to help find a way to deal with this monster who took their beloved Paul from them. My thoughts are with you,as I follow this dark trail with my own son.
